Biography

Jennifer Miller is a CPA licensed in Ohio, South Carolina and Washington State with over 20 years of experience in all areas of accounting and tax. After graduating from the University of Toledo in 1979, Jennifer worked for several CPA firms in different states, moving with a husband in the military. Jennifer also has a diverse background in private accounting, from her experience as a controller in different industries.

Jennifer’s unique background combining tax, accounting and management has made her a valuable member of the firm. She primarily handles tax representation cases and has been very successful in settling federal, state and local tax liabilities. Jennifer and the Mockensturm, Ltd. tax resolution staff believe in handling each case on an individual basis, applying specific, unique strategies to resolve the client’s problems. What works for one client may not be the best solution for another.

Jennifer is also actively involved in all areas of tax preparation for the firm. Mockensturm, Ltd. has a staff of accountants with over 100 years of combined experience in preparing all types of tax returns. Tax planning is one of our specialties. Because our clients are so diverse in their tax issues, we can plan ahead for their tax problems taking into account their prior tax situation in developing successful solutions.

Jennifer finds this work rewarding because she is able to help people solve a problem in their life. Dealing with the government can be a frustrating experience, but Jennifer and the tax resolution team believe in never giving up on the situation until the issues are resolved.

Consulting position as Chief Financial Officer and hands-on controller responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, multi-state payroll, payroll taxes, general ledger and financial statements. Supervised credit and collections as well as billings. Supervised operations management for a $12 million plus trucking company. Managed cash flow and financial decision making including budgeting and forecasting. Reorganized three years of financial records and payroll, including collecting on old accounts receivable.
