Biography
Blanca N. Wheeler is a junior member/owner attorney at Mockensturm, Ltd. with a primary focus in bankruptcy, business, collections, litigation and tax law.
Blanca is a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law. She graduated magna cum laude and in the top 13% of her class. During Law School, she graduated with honors from The Order of Barristers, and was recognized as the Best Oralist at the BFSU -Wanhuida Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition in Beijing, China and also served as a teaching assistant for Contracts 1. Blanca competed in two Criminal Law Moot Court Competitions, an Attorney General of Ohio Public Service Mock Trial Competition and also participated in Law Review for two years as both an Associate Member and as a Contributing Symposium Editor. In addition to her law education, Blanca received her Bachelor of Arts degree in social psychology degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and a Masters in Liberal Studies from the University of Toledo.
Blanca worked for over 18 years with the Wood County Department of Job and Family Services where she specialized in Fraud and Investigations. Blanca has also worked at the Ohio General's Office and the Civil Advocacy Clinic at the University of Toledo.
Blanca is fluent in Spanish and conversant in French. She enjoys taking an active role in TBA committees and sitting on the Board for a variety of organizations. Additionally, she regularly participates in panel discussions sponsored by UT Law events such as the Launch Into Law and Practice-Area Speed Networking events in which she shares information about her practice with law school students.
