Biography

Blanca N. Wheeler is a senior member and owner attorney at Mockensturm, Ltd., focusing on bankruptcy, business, collections, litigation, and tax law.

Blanca graduated magna cum laude from the University of Toledo College of Law, finishing in the top 13% of her class. During her studies, she earned honors from The Order of Barristers and was recognized as the Best Oralist at the BFSU-Wanhuida Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition in Beijing, China. She also served as a teaching assistant for Contracts 1 and competed in several moot court competitions, including Criminal Law Moot Court and the Attorney General of Ohio Public Service Mock Trial Competition. Additionally, she participated in Law Review for two years as both an Associate Member and Contributing Symposium Editor. Blanca holds a Bachelor of Arts in social psychology from Dartmouth College and a Master’s in Liberal Studies from the University of Toledo.

With over 18 years of experience at the Wood County Department of Job and Family Services specializing in Fraud and Investigations, Blanca has also worked at the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Civil Advocacy Clinic at the University of Toledo.

Fluent in Spanish and conversant in French, Blanca actively participates in TBA committees and serves on the boards of various organizations. She regularly engages in panel discussions at UT Law events, such as the Launch Into Law and Practice-Area Speed Networking, where she shares insights about her practice with law students.

Blanca finds great fulfillment in her work as an attorney, particularly in helping clients navigate difficult situations. Whether it’s guiding individuals through the complexities of bankruptcy to secure a fresh financial start or assisting businesses in resolving collection disputes, she is passionate about providing solutions that empower her clients. She takes pride in her ability to simplify complex legal issues and advocate for her clients’ needs, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout the process.

In her free time, Blanca loves spending quality moments with her family. She has a passion for art history and enjoys exploring different cultures through their art, food, and music, which fuels her love for traveling to various countries.
